Some common ways we use baking soda around the house. If I'm breaking out bicarbonate of soda at 2am, I'm usually drinking it down to combat indigestion and a poor food choice…like say, a Mexican Buffet–which is never a good idea. We keep baking soda in 4 different spots in the house and use it quite often, mostly for cleaning pots and pans and countertops, along with baking, deodorizing, brushing our teeth, and the occasional heartburn –and there are many more uses…sodium bicarbonate is kinda like the aspirin of the kitchen.
