Split Green Lentils Moong Dal (Chilka Mung Dal)
Ingredients:
Split green moong dal (chilka moong dal) – 1 1/2 Cups
Water – 4 Cups
Salt – 2 Teaspoons
Turmeric powder – 1 Teaspoon
For Tadka
Tomoatoes – 2 Qty.
Clarified Butter (Ghee) – 2 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds – 1 1/4 Teaspoons
Mustard seeds – 1/2 Teaspoon
Bay leaves – 2-3 Qty.
Whole red chillies – 4-5 Qty
Black cardamom – 3-4 Qty.
Cloves – 3-4 Qty
Cinnamon sticks – 1 Qty
Asafoetida – 1 Teaspoon
Ginger paste – 1 Teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 1/4 Teaspoons
Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 Teaspoons
Salt – 1/2 Teaspoon (to taste)
Garam masala – 1 Teaspoon
Warm water – 1/2 Cup
