Here's a recipe for ridiculously smooth and creamy parsnip purée. A few ingredients, a little time to meld, followed by some rigorous blitzing action courtesy of your stick blender, vitamix or regular blender and you're left with a gorgeous, rich, and creamy purée that pops on any plate. This goes really well with meat, fish and veg dishes and the bright white colour of the parsnip purée looks fantastic on dark dishes.
Recipe for Parsnip Purée:
500 g parsnips, peeled and chopped
300 ml cream
2 cloves of garlic
50 g butter
salt to taste
Method:
Peel and chop parsnips into even sized pieces. Place in a pot with two cloves of garlic, cream, butter and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover for 15-20 minutes until parsnips are extremely soft. Blitz using a blender or stick blender. Serve.
I served mine with a gremolata type thing in olive oil. It was just some chopped parsley, chopped garlic, olive oil, lemon zest and salt.

That is very good indeed and also healthy
First vid of 2020! I served mine with a bit of a gremolata type deal (chopped parsley, garlic, lemon zest, salt and olive oil) if you were wondering what that was :)
So THAT’S what that was. I was just wondering, you know.
Looks delicious!
This was great, I’ve been looking for “can you substitute turnip for parsnip?” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of – Eeycarlott Incredible Expediency – (do a google search ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for discovering how to get the amazing looking body that you desire minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.
So oddly satisfying! It’s so creamy!
That looks so delicious! Did you pass it through a sieve?
Cook it with some bayleafs and half cream and half cream fresh it is even better
Sounds amazing
Parsnip puree hoooo man by far the best puree in this world. Never tried with garlic but I will definitely give it a go. :D I always do mine with cream and freshly grated nutmeg.
That sounds amazing! Will give that a go next time 😊
So delicious love how your final dish looked
😍 my kinda food. Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction. Another great video. Love how you keep it simple and effective for home cooks.
Cool.. no sieve??
You can sieve if you want to/ need to but my purée was pretty lump free. If you’re using something like a vitamix I can’t imagine needing a sieve either! Just use your judgement 😊 thanks for the comment
How to touch with you out of youube ?
@Chef Studio I used my Ninja Power Pitcher System’s smoothie blender and set the Ninja on “Smoothie”. It was perfect!
Why cook it in cream vs blanching in water then adding cream ? Have mercy im still new
No need to ;)
Parsnips aren’t as starchy as something like potatoes so you can get away with simmering them with the cream and butter. That way we aren’t losing any flavour. The parsnips are flavouring the cream and butter and garlic and the cream and butter and garlic are flavouring the parsnips and it’s just a delicious melding of flavours haha. 😊
And also diaries give a nice body in these kind of purees
Delish !
I just want to say I was here at 37k subs for when you have 3 mil lmao
Feels like I’m watching an vlog…..it’s so good and satisfying
I gave your purée a try and WOW it’s a really great recipe! Great job with this one 👍
Nice 👍🏾 😊
Thanks!
Thanx so much for this superbly presented video.
Love parsnips and this made my day lol
Are there any healthier alternatives for cream and butter?
Milk and uhhh about butter idk tbh
I bought a hand mixer, and parsnip. Now to give it a try. I saw a chef on hell’s kitchen mention this, so I did the YouTube search.
I absolutely LOVE this recipe! I make it with coconut cream and it is most delicious! thank you!! <3 new subscriber here.
