Then visit the striking new landmark Danjiang Bridge, notable not only for its aesthetic, structural, and transportation significance, but also for connecting Taipei’s dense urban core with New Taipei’s more expansive landscape. Lunch is a hearty Taiwanese meal at Bib Gourmand-listed San Chieh Mei Nung Chia Le in the mountains. In the afternoon, we explore a hidden museum in the bustling old town of Sanxia for a tranquil interlude, followed by a visit to the former charming mining town of Ruifang to discover street food and its local culture.
Day 2: Begin with a morning ritual beneath an century-old banyan tree at the One-MICHELIN-Key hotel Capella Taipei. Next, enjoy Bib Gourmand Soft Power in a residential neighborhood, celebrated for its modern take on Taiwanese breakfast. Spend the afternoon exploring the boutiques, cafés, and galleries along the urban oasis Fujin Street. The day concludes at the One-MICHELIN-Starred Hosu, where Taiwanese terroir, culture, and people are thoughtfully woven into each dish, followed by elevated classic cocktails at wú.
